Until now, I only knew MACH as a measurement of speed. But now I was invited to the “Women in MACH meet-up Cologne.” That was reason enough to question it more closely. Therefore, I conducted an interview with the marketing department of the mindcurv group:
What is MACH?
MACH is an industry tech standard describing modern technology. The prerequisites to achieve this standard are: Microservices based, API-first, Cloud-native SaaS and Headless. MACH is also increasingly a global community of people exploring the alternative to older systems that do not offer the agility the business requires. The MACH Certification gives enterprises confidence they are choosing best-in-class vendors that can deliver future-proof technology.
Which companies are involved and what is the goal?
The MACH alliance members are listed here: https://machalliance.org/members
The goal of the MACH Alliance is to advocate for open and connected tech to ensure future-ready enterprises and to propel current and future digital experiences.
What is special about the “Women in MACH meet-up Cologne”?
The mindcurv group hosted the first Women in MACH event in September 2022, alongside the MACH Alliance, commercetools and empathy.co. They created a manifesto for Gender Diversity. With support from the MACH alliance, the mindcurv group is continuing this movement with a series of meet-ups where the community comes together on the subject of diversity and gender equality.
The next edition of the Women in MACH meet-up is at the mindcurv group in Cologne. Identifying and addressing bias is crucial to creating a diverse and inclusive workplace. At Cologne Madeleine Champagne and Sarah Mörs will facilitate a workshop on bias and the need for allies to the cause. As with all good initiatives, this one can only thrive if women, men and everyone else gets involved. Attendees will be able to create lasting connections and find support and encouragement to continue the fight against bias.
If this interview has piqued your curiosity, you are welcome to attend the meet-up on June 6, 2023, in Cologne. You can register here:
